Bars IN JEROME

JEROME - BARS ARE AWESOME

This is maybe one of the best reasons to come to Jerome Arizona. You can hang out in one of the cool wine tasting rooms, listen to live music and pound down a few beers at the Spirit Room or Wicked City... Or Just chill out, play a little pool at Paul & Jerry's. There are literally five or six places you can get an adult beverage relax and take in all that is Jerome - and trust me that's a lot.

WICKED CITY BREW

Wicked City Brew is new to town but the legend of Wicked City is definately not! More than 100 years ago this was the wild west at it's finest; Newspapers and magazines all agreed Jerome AZ was the worst. Today this bar pays tribute to that history.

Just outside you will find a historic plaque describing how Jerome got it's name as the "Wickedest City in the West". Inside you will find an elegantly decorated bar with paintings from local artists, historic pictures of Jerome AZ and awesome comfortable seating.

JEROME'S VERY OWN SPIRIT ROOM

If the Haunted Hamburber is a must for the foodies, then the Spirit Room is an absolute must for the anyone that likes to tip a few at the local tavern. This location has become icon and famous with all who love to party.

You will be treated to live music on most nights as well as on Sunday during the day. Local musicians and traveling artists fill up the Spirit Room schedule. make sure you bring your dancing shoes because it gets hoppin inside most any night.

PAUL AND JERRYS SALOON

This place could not be further from the wine tasting set you might find at Caduceus, but I love this place. You will too if you go in, take a seat, and get to know the place. This is a old school gin joint and definately worth a stop off..

In fact, it is the oldest family run bar in the entire state of Arizona. In addition to getting a drink here you can play a game of pool on any of the bar's three tables. Be aware though, many local residents take the game seriously and will give anyone a run for their money.

MILE HIGH BAR & GRILL

Flat out, this is a great place to eat! The owner Liz has created a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Jerome. Right there on Main Street, you cant miss this place. it is located just below the Haunted Hamburger but is by no means a step down. In fact, the Chef Alex does an amazing job and so far I have never had anything less that a great meal there.

The menu is extremly broad, and is THE place to eat breakfast in Jerome. My personal favorite is the Biscuits and Gravy, but there are so many good choices. At lunch you can get an awesome cheeseburger that gives the Haunted Hamburger a run for the money, But that's not all. There is a great variety of Appetizers all at very reasonable prices, they even have about six kinds of soup. They are also open for Dinner and have a number of seafood and veggie choices as well.

THERE IS EVEN MORE TO DO

So if you run out of places, you can always pull up a bar stool at the Mile High Grill or get a tasty Nimbus Blonde at Bobby D's. If your tastes run a bit more fancy, make the treck up the hill to the Asylum Restaurant for a drink on the patio. It's noting short of a stunning view.
